Job Description

Are you a creative problem solver who can lead a team of front end developers to success? The Bank of New York Mellon is looking for a Lead Front End Developer to join our growing team. Our ideal candidate is a highly organized individual who can think strategically, manage a team, and bring a fresh perspective to our organization.To be successful in this role, you will need a combination of technical and leadership skills. You should have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and a minimum of five years of experience in web development. You should also have a deep understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web frameworks such as React and Angular. You will also need to have experience in developing enterprise-grade web applications.If you have a passion for developing world-class products and a desire to contribute to the success of an established financial institution, then this is the job for you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage a team of front end developers in the design, development, and implementation of web applications.
  2. Analyze business requirements and develop technical solutions to meet them.
  3. Architect, design, and implement web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web frameworks such as React and Angular.
  4. Monitor and maintain existing applications, ensuring they remain secure and perform optimally.
  5. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in web development.
  6. Create and enforce coding standards and best practices.
  7. Train and mentor junior developers.
  8. Lead technical meetings and provide feedback on project progress.
  9. Work closely with other departments to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
