Job Description

The Bank of New York Mellon is looking for an experienced and motivated Infrastructure Virtualization Engineer, who is passionate about developing and maintaining virtualization solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in virtualization and experience with cloud computing platforms. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with a diverse and talented team of engineers.The Infrastructure Virtualization Engineer should possess an extensive knowledge of virtualization-related technologies, such as VMware, Hyper-V, and OpenStack, as well as experience with scripting languages, such as PowerShell and Python. The ideal candidate also has a strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.The individual must have excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain virtualization solutions.
  2. Support cloud computing platforms.
  3. Manage virtualization-related technologies, such as VMware, Hyper-V, and OpenStack.
  4. Develop and maintain scripting languages, such as PowerShell and Python.
  5. Monitor and troubleshoot networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
  6. Resolve technical issues and provide customer support.
  7. Develop and implement best practices for virtualization solutions.
  8. Collaborate with a diverse and talented team of engineers.
  9. Prepare technical documentation and user guides.
  10. Keep abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the industry.
