We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Managing Counsel- Employment Law to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing legal counsel and guidance to our organization on all matters related to employment law.   1. Provide expert legal counsel to the organization on all employment law matters, including but not limited to discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour laws, employee benefits, and compliance with federal and state regulations.
  2. Develop and implement comprehensive strategies and policies to ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
  3. Lead and manage a team of attorneys to provide high-quality, timely, and accurate legal advice and support to all departments and business units within the organization.
  4. Stay up-to-date on changes in employment laws and regulations and provide proactive guidance and recommendations to the organization to mitigate potential legal risks.
  5. Conduct thorough investigations into employment-related complaints and provide guidance on appropriate resolutions.
  6. Advise on complex employment law issues and provide guidance on best practices and risk management strategies to support the organization's goals.
  7. Collaborate with HR, management, and other stakeholders to develop and implement training programs to promote a fair and inclusive workplace and prevent potential legal issues.
  8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with external legal counsel, government agencies, and industry associations to stay informed of emerging legal trends and best practices.
  9. Manage employment-related litigation, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and representing the organization in court as needed.
  10. Participate in the development and implementation of diversity and inclusion initiatives to foster an inclusive and equitable work environment.
  11. Communicate complex legal concepts and advice in a clear and concise manner to non-legal stakeholders.
  12. Foster a culture of compliance, diversity, and inclusivity within the organization by promoting the organization's values and policies.
  13. Collaborate with other legal team members to ensure consistency and alignment in legal advice and strategies.
  14. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  15. Continuously monitor and improve processes and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the legal team.

Job Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School

  • Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience Practicing Employment Law, Preferably In A Large Financial Institution

  • Strong Understanding Of Federal And State Employment Laws And Regulations, Including Discrimination, Wage And Hour, And Leave Policies

  • Proven Track Record Of Managing And Supervising A Team Of Attorneys And Paralegals

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Advise And Collaborate With Senior Management And Hr Professionals.
