- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Thales' products, services, and capabilities in order to effectively communicate them in bids
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to gather all necessary information and resources for bid submissions
- Lead the bid process from start to finish, including identifying opportunities, creating bid strategies, coordinating resources, and managing timelines
- Conduct thorough analysis of bid requirements and develop comprehensive bid responses that meet client needs and align with company objectives
- Ensure all bids are submitted on time, meet quality standards, and comply with company policies and procedures
- Manage bid budgets and resources, and track bid progress and outcomes
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential bid risks and issues
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams to foster successful bid outcomes and future business opportunities
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitive landscape, and client needs to inform bid strategies and proposals
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior bid team members, and continuously improve bid management processes and practices.
Extensive Experience In Bid Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Managing Bids Within The Defense Or Aerospace Industry. This Experience Should Include A Track Record Of Successfully Delivering Complex Bids And Proposals.
Strong Project Management Skills: As A Senior Bid Manager, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Managing Multiple Bids Simultaneously. Therefore, They Should Possess Strong Project Management Skills, Including The Ability To Prioritize Tasks, Meet Deadlines, And Manage Resources Effectively.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Candidate Should Be An Excellent Communicator, Both Verbally And In Writing. They Should Be Able To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams, Build Relationships With Stakeholders, And Negotiate With Clients.
