- Develop and implement safety plans for all projects, products, and services in compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Provide safety guidance and oversight to project teams, ensuring that safety protocols and procedures are followed at all times.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address any safety concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and ensure that all projects are in compliance.
- Monitor and evaluate project safety performance, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
- Promote a culture of safety and excellence throughout the organization by developing and delivering safety training programs.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all safety-related inquiries and escalate any issues to senior management as needed.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and advancements in safety management.
- Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure a clear understanding of safety requirements and expectations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry associations to stay informed on safety regulations and standards.
- Act as a safety advocate and champion within the organization, promoting a proactive and preventative approach to safety.
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks, ensuring that safety is always a top priority.
- Other duties as assigned by senior management.
Relevant Education And Certifications: A Project Safety Manager At Thales Should Have A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Engineering, Health And Safety, Or Risk Management. Additionally, Certifications Such As Certified Safety Professional (Csp) Or Project Management Professional (Pmp) Are Highly Desirable.
Extensive Experience In Safety Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Safety Management, Preferably In A Project-Based Environment. They Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Safety Regulations And Standards, As Well As Experience In Developing And Implementing Safety Programs.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Project Safety Manager, The Candidate Will Be Required To Effectively Communicate Safety Policies And Procedures To Team Members And Stakeholders. They Should Also Be Able To Lead And Train A Team Of Safety Professionals To Ensure Compliance With Safety Protocols.
Risk Assessment And Management Expertise: Thales Places A High Emphasis On Risk Management, And The Project Safety Manager Should Have A Proven Track Record In Identifying, Assessing, And Mitigating Potential Safety Hazards. They Should Also Have Experience In Conducting Safety Audits And Investigations.
Strong Attention To Detail: In A Safety-Critical Industry Such As Aerospace And Defense, Attention To Detail Is Crucial.
