  1. Design and implement database systems to meet the needs of the organization.
  2. Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
  3. Ensure the availability and security of all databases.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner.
  5. Develop and implement database backup and recovery strategies.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of databases with other systems.
  7. Identify opportunities for automation and implement DevOps principles to improve database processes.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in database management.
  9. Train and mentor team members on database management and DevOps principles.
  10. Continuously monitor and improve database processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  11. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including management, to provide updates on database performance and any potential issues.
  12. Develop and maintain documentation for all database systems and processes.
  13. Assist in capacity planning to anticipate future database needs.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Database Administration: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Database Administration, Including Designing, Implementing, And Maintaining Databases In A Production Environment.

  • Knowledge Of Devops Principles And Tools: Thales Is Looking For A Candidate Who Has A Strong Understanding Of Devops Principles And Practices, As Well As Experience With Devops Tools Such As Docker, Kubernetes, And Jenkins.

  • Proficiency In Scripting And Automation: The Devops Database Administrator Should Have A Strong Background In Scripting And Automation, With Experience In Languages Such As Bash, Python, Or Powershell. This Will Be Crucial In Automating Database Tasks And Ensuring Efficient Database Management.

  • Strong Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills: As Part Of The Devops Team, The Database Administrator Will Be Responsible For Identifying And Resolving Database Issues In A Timely Manner. Strong Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills Are Essential For This Role.
