- Operate and maintain state-of-the-art turning machines to produce high-quality aerospace and defense components.
- Ensure all machines are set up and calibrated correctly to meet production requirements.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure they are running efficiently and make any necessary adjustments.
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure parts meet required specifications and make necessary adjustments as needed.
- Troubleshoot and address any issues with the machine or parts production to minimize downtime.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Continuously improve processes and identify opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Keep work area clean and organized to maintain a safe and efficient workspace.
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments and advancements in turning machine technology.
- Train and mentor new team members on turning machine operations and processes.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Experience Operating Cnc Turning Machines: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience Operating Cnc Turning Machines, With A Strong Understanding Of Machine Setup, Tooling, And Programming.
Knowledge Of G-Code And Blueprints: The Turning Machine Operator Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of G-Code Programming And Be Able To Read And Interpret Blueprints To Ensure Accurate Production.
Mechanical Aptitude: A Strong Mechanical Aptitude Is Necessary For This Role As The Turning Machine Operator Will Be Responsible For Troubleshooting And Resolving Any Mechanical Issues That May Arise During Production.
Attention To Detail: Precision And Attention To Detail Are Crucial For This Role As The Turning Machine Operator Will Be Responsible For Producing High-Quality Parts That Meet Specified Tolerances And Quality Standards.
Ability To Work Independently And In A Team: The Turning Machine Operator Should Be Able To Work Independently And Efficiently, But Also Be A Team Player And Communicate Effectively With Other Team Members To Ensure Smooth Production Processes.
