  1. Conduct thorough quality inspections of tooling processes to ensure accuracy and precision.
  2. Utilize precision measurement tools and techniques to accurately assess the quality of tooling.
  3. Identify and report any issues or defects in the tooling processes.
  4. Communicate with team members and supervisors to address and resolve any quality concerns.
  5. Maintain detailed records of all inspections and findings.
  6. Collaborate with other team members to continuously improve and enhance tooling processes.
  7. Keep up-to-date with industry standards and advancements in inspection techniques.
  8. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing inspections.
  9. Identify and implement opportunities for cost-saving measures in the tooling process.
  10. Train and mentor junior team members to ensure consistency and accuracy in inspections.
  11. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve any tooling issues.
  12. Follow company policies and procedures to maintain a high level of quality and excellence.
  13. Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure the safety and efficiency of inspections.
  14. Prioritize and manage workload to meet production deadlines.
  15. Attend training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge in tooling inspection.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Tooling Materials And Manufacturing Processes: A Tooling Inspector At Textron Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Tooling Materials Such As Metals, Plastics, And Composites, As Well As The Processes Used To Manufacture Them.

  • Proficiency In Reading Technical Drawings And Specifications: The Ability To Interpret And Understand Complex Technical Drawings And Specifications Is Crucial For A Tooling Inspector At Textron. This Includes Knowledge Of Geometric Dimensioning And Tolerancing (Gd&T) And Other Industry Standards.

  • Experience With Precision Measurement Tools And Equipment: A Tooling Inspector Should Have Experience Using A Variety Of Precision Measurement Tools And Equipment, Such As Calipers, Micrometers, And Coordinate Measuring Machines (Cmms). This Ensures Accurate And Precise Inspection Of Tooling Components.

  • Familiarity With Quality Control Processes And Procedures: Textron Places A High Emphasis On Quality Control, And A Tooling Inspector Must Be Familiar With Industry Standards And Procedures For Ensuring The Quality Of Tooling Components. This Includes Knowledge Of Statistical Process Control (Spc) And Root Cause Analysis.

  • Strong Attention To Detail And Organizational Skills: As A Tooling Inspector, Attention To Detail Is Crucial To Ensure The Accuracy And Quality Of Inspected Tooling Components. Additionally, Strong Organizational Skills Are Necessary To Keep Track Of Various Inspections And Maintain Proper Documentation.
