1. Design and develop innovative tools and equipment for use in our manufacturing processes.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop solutions that meet those needs.
3. Conduct research and analysis to identify new tooling technologies and processes that can improve efficiency and precision.
4. Develop and maintain accurate documentation and drawings for all tooling designs.
5. Work closely with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues with tooling performance.
6. Monitor and evaluate tooling performance to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
7. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all tooling designs and processes.
8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in tooling technology to continuously improve our processes.
9. Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on tooling design and development.
10. Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
11. Manage tooling budgets and timelines to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
12. Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for new tooling projects.
13. Continuously seek out opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction in tooling design and development.
14. Adhere to all company policies and procedures to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
15. Represent Textron as a tooling expert at industry events and conferences.
