Shipfitter

As a Shipfitter, you will use your expertise and attention to detail to fabricate, assemble, and install various components of our ships. 1. Fabricate and assemble metal components of ships according to engineering drawings and specifications.
2. Use various hand and power tools, as well as welding and cutting equipment, to shape and construct metal structures.
3. Measure, mark, and cut materials accurately to ensure proper fit and alignment.
4. Install and secure ship components, including plates, frames, and beams, using appropriate techniques and fasteners.
5. Conduct quality control checks to ensure all work meets company and industry standards.
6. Continuously monitor and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
7. Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the shipbuilding process.
8. Adhere to project timelines and production schedules to ensure timely completion of ships.
9. Follow all company policies, procedures, and protocols, including those related to safety and quality.
10. Actively participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
11. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
12. Represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times.
13. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to producing high-quality work.
14. Continuously seek out ways to improve processes and increase efficiency.
