- Follow detailed engineering drawings and specifications to ensure precise and accurate fabrication.
- Utilize various tools and equipment, such as shears, brakes, and drills, to cut, bend, and shape sheet metal.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure all components meet industry and company standards.
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve any issues that arise during fabrication and assembly.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Proficiency In Sheet Metal Fabrication Techniques: A Sheet Metal Technician At Textron Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Various Sheet Metal Fabrication Techniques Such As Cutting, Bending, Welding, And Riveting. They Should Also Have Experience Working With Different Types Of Metal, Including Aluminum, Steel, And Titanium.
Knowledge Of Technical Drawings And Blueprints: As A Sheet Metal Technician, The Ability To Read And Interpret Technical Drawings And Blueprints Is Vital. This Includes Understanding Dimensions, Tolerances, And Geometric Dimensions And Tolerances (Gd&T).
Familiarity With Sheet Metal Tools And Equipment: Textron Requires Its Sheet Metal Technicians To Have Experience Working With A Variety Of Sheet Metal Tools And Equipment, Such As Shears, Brakes, Rollers, And Cnc Machines. They Should Also Be Proficient In Using Hand And Power Tools.
