  1. Maintain and troubleshoot automated control systems to ensure their smooth operation.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and audits of control systems to identify and resolve any potential issues.
  3. Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to develop and implement solutions for system improvements and upgrades.
  4. Monitor and analyze system performance data to identify areas for optimization and efficiency.
  5. Respond to system breakdowns and malfunctions in a timely and effective manner.
  6. Perform routine maintenance tasks on control systems, including cleaning, calibration, and replacement of parts.
  7. Keep accurate records of system maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in PLC technology.
  9. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while working on control systems.
  10. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to coordinate and prioritize tasks.
  11. Train new technicians on control system operations and maintenance procedures.
  12. Proactively identify potential issues and recommend solutions to prevent system downtime.
  13. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and reliability of control systems.
  14. Adhere to company standards and protocols for quality control and assurance.
  15. Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Technical Skills: A Plc Technician At Textron Must Have A Deep Understanding Of Programmable Logic Controllers (Plcs) And Be Able To Troubleshoot, Program, And Maintain Them Effectively.

  • Electrical And Mechanical Knowledge: In Addition To Plcs, The Technician Must Possess A Strong Understanding Of Electrical Systems, Mechanical Components, And Hydraulic/Pneumatic Systems To Be Able To Work With And Troubleshoot Complex Industrial Equipment.

  • Experience With Industrial Automation: Textron Is A Leader In Industrial Automation, And The Ideal Candidate Should Have Hands-On Experience With Industrial Automation Systems, Such As Scada, Hmi, And Servo Drives.

  • Ability To Work Independently: As A 3Rd Shift Technician, The Individual May Often Work Alone Or With A Small Team. Therefore, The Candidate Must Have The Ability To Work Independently, Be Self-Motivated And Have Excellent Time Management Skills.

  • Flexibility And Adaptability: The Manufacturing Industry Can Be Unpredictable, And A Plc Technician Must Be Able To Adapt To Changing Priorities, Work Under Pressure, And Troubleshoot Problems Quickly And Efficiently. Flexibility To Work On-Call Or Overtime When Needed Is Also Important For This Role.
