  1. Conduct research and analysis to identify user needs and preferences in the fields of aviation, defense, industrial, and finance.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate human factors principles into product design and development processes.
  3. Develop and implement user-centered design methodologies and techniques.
  4. Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to inform product design decisions.
  5. Create and maintain design documentation, including user requirements, design specifications, and usability test reports.
  6. Continuously monitor and evaluate product performance and make recommendations for improvements.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in human factors engineering to ensure Textron remains at the forefront of innovation.
  8. Communicate and present human factors engineering concepts and findings to team members and stakeholders.
  9. Identify potential safety hazards and provide recommendations for mitigating risks.
  10. Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with human factors engineering standards and regulations.
  11. Mentor and train junior human factors engineers.
  12. Contribute to the development and improvement of human factors engineering processes and procedures.
  13. Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure the safety, efficiency, and overall user experience of Textron's products.
  14. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the human factors engineering team.

Job Qualifications
  • Degree In Engineering Or Related Field: A Candidate For A Human Factors Engineering Job At Textron Should Have A Degree In Engineering, Human Factors, Or A Related Field. This Will Provide Them With A Strong Foundation In The Principles And Concepts Of Human Factors Engineering.

  • Knowledge Of Human Factors Principles And Methodologies: The Job Requires A Deep Understanding Of Human Factors Principles And Methodologies, Such As Human-Computer Interaction, Usability Testing, And Cognitive Psychology. This Knowledge Will Be Crucial In Designing And Evaluating Products For Textron.

  • Experience With Human Factors Tools And Software: Proficiency In The Use Of Human Factors Tools And Software, Such As Simulation And Modeling Software, Eye Tracking Systems, And Statistical Analysis Tools, Is Essential For This Role. These Tools Will Be Used To Collect And Analyze Human Performance Data To Inform The Design Process.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Key Aspect Of A Human Factors Engineering Job At Textron Is Collaborating With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Designers, Engineers, And Project Managers. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Necessary To Effectively Communicate Research Findings And Recommendations To Team Members.

  • Experience In Aerospace Or Defense Industry: Textron Is A Leading Aerospace And Defense Company, So Experience In This Industry Is Highly Desirable. Candidates With Previous Experience In Designing And Testing Human-Centered Products For The Aerospace Or Defense Sector Will Have A Better Understanding Of The Unique Challenges And Requirements Of This Field.
