- Conduct research and analysis to identify user needs and preferences in the fields of aviation, defense, industrial, and finance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate human factors principles into product design and development processes.
- Develop and implement user-centered design methodologies and techniques.
- Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to inform product design decisions.
- Create and maintain design documentation, including user requirements, design specifications, and usability test reports.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate product performance and make recommendations for improvements.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in human factors engineering to ensure Textron remains at the forefront of innovation.
- Communicate and present human factors engineering concepts and findings to team members and stakeholders.
- Identify potential safety hazards and provide recommendations for mitigating risks.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with human factors engineering standards and regulations.
- Mentor and train junior human factors engineers.

Degree In Engineering Or Related Field: A Candidate For A Human Factors Engineering Job At Textron Should Have A Degree In Engineering, Human Factors, Or A Related Field. This Will Provide Them With A Strong Foundation In The Principles And Concepts Of Human Factors Engineering.
Knowledge Of Human Factors Principles And Methodologies: The Job Requires A Deep Understanding Of Human Factors Principles And Methodologies, Such As Human-Computer Interaction, Usability Testing, And Cognitive Psychology. This Knowledge Will Be Crucial In Designing And Evaluating Products For Textron.
Experience With Human Factors Tools And Software: Proficiency In The Use Of Human Factors Tools And Software, Such As Simulation And Modeling Software, Eye Tracking Systems, And Statistical Analysis Tools, Is Essential For This Role.
