Job Description

  1. Provide exceptional customer service while representing Textron and our products in a professional and positive manner.
  2. Conduct installations, repairs, and maintenance of our advanced technology products at customer sites.
  3. Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues with products and provide prompt and effective solutions.
  4. Collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure successful deployment and use of products.
  5. Follow company safety protocols and guidelines while working on customer sites.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of service activities, including reports and documentation.
  7. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to continuously improve technical knowledge.
  8. Assist in the development and improvement of service processes and procedures.
  9. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  10. Represent Textron at conferences, trade shows, and other events as needed.
  11. Provide training and support to customers on product usage and maintenance.
  12. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to ethics and compliance.
  13. Attend regular training sessions and meetings to enhance technical and customer service skills.
  14. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times while representing Textron.
  15. Travel to customer sites as needed, including occasional overnight stays.

Job Qualifications

  • Technical Knowledge And Experience: A Field Service Technician At Textron Should Have A Strong Background In Mechanical, Electrical, Or Aerospace Engineering. They Should Also Have Experience Working With Textron's Specific Products And Technologies.

  • Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills: Field Service Technicians Must Be Able To Identify And Resolve Complex Technical Issues Quickly And Efficiently. This Requires Strong Analytical And Critical Thinking Skills.

  • Communication And Teamwork: Field Service Technicians Often Work In Teams And Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Colleagues And Customers. They Should Also Have Excellent Customer Service Skills And Be Able To Explain Technical Concepts In An Easy-To-Understand Manner.

  • Physical Fitness And Dexterity: This Role May Require Technicians To Work In Physically Demanding Environments, Such As Climbing Ladders, Lifting Heavy Equipment, And Working In Tight Spaces. Therefore, Physical Fitness And Dexterity Are Important Qualifications For This Job.

  • Time Management And Organization: Field Service Technicians Must Be Able To Manage Their Time Effectively And Prioritize Tasks In Order To Meet Tight Deadlines. They Should Also Have Strong Organizational Skills To Keep Track Of Equipment, Tools, And Inventory.
