- Analyze material requirements for various projects and provide accurate and timely reports to support supply chain decision making.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials.
- Monitor and track inventory levels to ensure an adequate supply of materials for current and future projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement procurement strategies that optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
- Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement processes.
- Review and negotiate supplier contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms and conditions for Textron.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of materials.
- Monitor and report on supplier performance, identifying and addressing any issues or concerns to ensure continuous improvement.
- Work closely with project managers to understand material requirements and proactively identify any potential supply chain risks that may impact project timelines.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Continuously seek ways to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Embody a strong commitment to ethical and responsible procurement practices in all interactions with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Act as a subject matter expert on material requirements and provide guidance and support to other team members as needed.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements related to material procurement and ensure that Textron remains in compliance at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Material Planning Or Supply Chain Management.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Interpret Data And Make Informed Decisions.
Proficiency In Using Erp Systems, Such As Sap Or Oracle, For Material Planning And Inventory Management.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Suppliers.
