- Draft and file patent applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
- Collaborate with inventors and technical experts to gather necessary information for patent applications.
- Work closely with the USPTO to respond to office actions and address any potential issues or rejections.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to the company on patent-related matters, including infringement and validity analysis.
- Conduct due diligence on potential acquisitions and licensing agreements related to intellectual property.
- Stay up-to-date with current patent laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide recommendations for enhancing our patent portfolio.
- Monitor and analyze competitor patents to identify potential risks and opportunities for our company.
- Assist in developing and implementing patent strategies to support business goals and objectives.
- Represent the company in patent-related disputes and negotiations.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure alignment and understanding of patent-related issues.
- Work with the legal team to develop and maintain patent policies and procedures.
- Train and educate company employees on patent laws and best practices for protecting intellectual property.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of patent applications and related documents.
- Continuously evaluate and improve patent processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School
Admission To Practice Law In The State Of Texas
At Least 3 Years Of Experience In Patent Law, Preferably With A Focus On Electronics Or Semiconductor Technology
Strong Understanding Of U.s. Patent Laws And Procedures
