Manager, Nonclinical Safety Toxicologist
You will be part of a skilled global department leading the scientific understanding of the safety of novel therapeutics (primarily biologics) in a company dedicated to finding therapies for various disease disorders. You will be expected to execute and monitor nonclinical safety studies and interpret findings from these studies to support clinical development. Develop nonclinical safety plans to support clinical development and meet regulatory requirements Coordinate and monitor the conduct of toxicology studies at contract research organizations (CROs) in line with project timelines and budget Understand the basic biology of the drug candidates' intended target and mechanisms of toxicity. Write nonclinical safety documents relating to the project, including nonclinical sections of regulatory submission documents Write risk assessment documents for impurities (eg, extractables and leachables, degradation products, etc.) applying knowledge of chemistry.
Minimum 4 years of toxicology or practical pharmaceutical research experience
PhD in Toxicology or related life science field of study preferred
Experience in a CRO or pharmaceutical/biotech setting performing nonclinical safety assessment activities throughout all stages of drug development
Understanding of regulatory processes, Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) regulations and basic knowledge in regulatory toxicology
Experience generating impurity safety risk assessments
