- Conduct archaeological field surveys, excavations, and analyses in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Develop and implement research designs, methodologies, and data management plans for cultural resource projects.
- Identify and document artifacts, features, and other cultural resources according to established protocols and standards.
- Supervise and train field technicians and volunteers in proper excavation techniques and data recording.
- Conduct archival research and literature reviews to inform cultural resource investigations.
- Prepare technical reports, site forms, and other documentation in accordance with project requirements and agency guidelines.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies to ensure project goals and timelines are met.
- Monitor project budgets and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of work.
- Maintain accurate and organized field notes, records, and photographs.
- Stay current with developments and trends in the field of archaeology and cultural resource management.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards set forth by the Register of Professional Archaeologists and other relevant organizations.
- Promote public outreach and education initiatives related to cultural resource preservation.
- Participate in business development activities, including proposal writing and client meetings.
- Maintain a safe work environment and follow all health and safety protocols.
- Represent Tetra Tech and the field of archaeology in a professional and positive manner at all times.
A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Archaeology, Anthropology, Or A Related Field.
At Least 5 Years Of Experience Conducting Archaeological Fieldwork And Analysis.
Extensive Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Regulations And Laws Pertaining To Cultural Resources Management.
Experience Managing And Directing Archaeological Projects, Including Supervising Field Crews And Writing Technical Reports.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Team Members And Clients.
