- Develop and implement strategies to drive change and create impact in global development projects.
- Manage all aspects of assessments, monitoring, and evaluation programs, including planning, execution, and reporting.
- Ensure the quality and effectiveness of projects by monitoring progress, identifying challenges, and implementing solutions.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify and implement best practices and innovative approaches to achieve project goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, partners, and beneficiaries to ensure a collaborative and integrated approach to project management.
- Lead and oversee a team of project staff, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure a high-performing and motivated team.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and compliance with donor requirements.
- Communicate project progress, challenges, and successes to internal and external stakeholders through regular reports and presentations.
- Conduct regular field visits to project sites to assess progress, identify challenges, and provide technical support.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and policies related to global development and incorporate them into project management processes.
- Ensure compliance with ethical standards and organizational policies and procedures.
- Represent the organization at conferences, workshops, and other events related to global development and program management.
Extensive Experience In Program Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Background In Managing Complex Programs, Preferably In The Field Of Assessments, Monitoring, And Evaluation. This Includes Experience In Developing Project Plans, Managing Budgets, And Coordinating With Multiple Stakeholders.
Knowledge Of Assessment, Monitoring, And Evaluation Methodologies: The Program Manager Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Various Assessment, Monitoring, And Evaluation Techniques And Methodologies. This Includes Knowledge Of Data Collection, Analysis, And Reporting Methods, As Well As Experience In Conducting Evaluations And Impact Assessments.
Strong Analytical Skills: The Role Requires A Candidate Who Is Highly Analytical And Has The Ability To Make Evidence-Based Decisions. This Includes The Ability To Analyze Complex Data Sets, Identify Trends And Patterns, And Draw Actionable Insights For Program Improvement.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Program Manager, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Coordinating With Various Internal And External Stakeholders. This Requires Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate, Negotiate, And Build Relationships With Team Members, Clients, And Partners.
Project Management Certification: A Certification In Project Management, Such As Pmp Or Prince2, Is Highly Desirable For This Role. This Demonstrates The Candidate's Knowledge And Expertise In Project Management Principles And Methodologies, Which Are Essential For The Successful Execution Of The Program.
