Job Description

At Tetra Tech, we are looking for an enthusiastic and highly organized Permit Specialist to join our team! The ideal candidate for this position will be an experienced professional with excellent project management skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.The Permit Specialist will be responsible for managing and coordinating the permitting process for projects, as well as providing support to the team in developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. This position requires an individual with a comprehensive understanding of the permitting process and a strong background in project management.To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, an ability to negotiate and maintain relationships with stakeholders, and strong problem solving, time management, and organizational capabilities. Additionally, the successful applicant must have a degree or equivalent experience in a related field and a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate the permitting process for projects • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders • Negotiate and maintain relationships with stakeholders • Provide support to the team in developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders • Develop and execute project plans and timelines • Monitor progress of projects and ensure deadlines are met • Work with internal and external teams to ensure permit applications are completed accurately • Review and analyze permit applications for accuracy and completeness • Respond to inquiries from stakeholders regarding permit applications • Maintain up-to-date records of all permitting activities • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations • Prepare reports and presentations as needed • Other duties as assigned
