GIS Technician

Tetra Tech is looking for a talented and experienced GIS Technician to join our team. The GIS Technician will be responsible for creating, managing, and analyzing geographic and spatial data in support of company projects. This role requires a combination of technical, analytical, and communication skills, and the ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of GIS analysis, cartography, and spatial data management.The successful GIS Technician must have a Bachelor's degree in GIS or related field and a minimum of two years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate must possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for working with geospatial data. Responsibilities:

1. Create, manage, and analyze geographic and spatial data for company projects.
2. Utilize GIS analysis, cartography, and spatial data management techniques to complete tasks.
3. Develop and maintain GIS databases.
4. Prepare maps, reports, and other documents related to GIS projects.
5. Research and troubleshoot GIS software issues.
6. Develop and document GIS processes and procedures.
7. Develop interactive web-based mapping applications.
8. Research and analyze geospatial data.
9. Train and mentor other GIS technicians or users.
10. Collaborate with other departments to identify and develop new geospatial solutions.
