Tetra Tech is seeking a talented and experienced GIS Technician to join our growing team. We are looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about GIS and possesses the technical expertise to help us provide innovative solutions to our clients. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining GIS data sets, as well as providing GIS support to the project team.The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of GIS theory, data analysis, mapping techniques, and the ability to create high-quality maps from GIS data. In addition, we are looking for a candidate who is comfortable working with a variety of GIS software, including ArcGIS and other industry-standard tools. The successful candidate will also possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills. A bachelor’s degree in GIS, computer science, or a related field is strongly preferred, as well as experience in the GIS industry.
Responsibilities: • Develop, manage, and maintain GIS data sets • Utilize GIS software, including ArcGIS and other industry-standard tools • Analyze GIS data and create high-quality maps • Provide GIS support to project teams • Maintain knowledge of GIS theory, data analysis, and mapping techniques • Solve complex GIS problems and communicate solutions with team members • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and advancements in GIS • Maintain and update GIS related documents and records
