Job Description

Tetra Tech is looking for a GIS Technician to join our team! This position involves using the latest Geographic Information System (GIS) technology to create maps, analyze spatial data, and develop databases. The GIS Technician must possess strong problem-solving skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is eager to learn and take on challenging tasks.To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should have experience with GIS software and hardware, familiarity with GIS application development, and a desire to stay current with the latest GIS trends and technology. The successful candidate will have a strong aptitude for math, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team environment. Responsibilities:

  1. Create maps, analyze spatial data, and develop databases using GIS technology.
  2. Utilize GIS software and hardware to complete assigned tasks.
  3. Develop GIS applications and stay current with the latest GIS trends and technology.
  4. Solve complex problems and communicate effectively with team members.
  5. Possess strong math skills and written/verbal communication skills.
  6. Work independently or in a team environment as needed.
