GIS Technician

Tetra Tech is looking for an experienced and motivated GIS Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work well with others. They must have a strong technical background in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and experience using software such as ESRI ArcGIS. The GIS Technician will be responsible for creating, manipulating, and analyzing spatial data to support a variety of projects. They will be expected to coordinate with other departments, write/update documentation, and develop and implement GIS software and solutions.To be successful in this role, the GIS Technician must have:• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, or related field• Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS Suite (ArcMap, ArcCatalog, etc.)• Experience in creating, editing, and maintaining geospatial data• Understanding of cartography and map production• Knowledge of GIS database design and management• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamThe ideal candidate will have a passion for leveraging GIS technology to solve complex problems and possess a strong desire to remain current on industry trends and best practices.
