Job Description

Are you an experienced GIS Technician with a passion for geospatial analysis? Tetra Tech is looking for a GIS Technician to join our team and help us build, maintain, and analyze our extensive geographic data. In this role, you will be responsible for creating interactive maps, creating and managing databases, and analyzing and interpreting GIS data.We are looking for someone with a bachelor’s degree in GIS, geography, or a related field and at least two years of experience in GIS analysis. You should also have strong communication and problem-solving skills, be detail-oriented, and be able to work independently and as part of a team. If you are an experienced GIS professional who is excited to work with cutting-edge technology to develop creative solutions, this is the job for you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Create interactive maps using GIS software.
  2. Create and manage GIS data databases.
  3. Analyze and interpret GIS data.
  4. Monitor new GIS technologies and trends.
  5. Develop and maintain GIS solutions to meet customer needs.
  6. Provide technical support to customers.
  7. Prepare technical reports and presentations.
  8. Troubleshoot GIS software and hardware issues.
  9. Ensure data accuracy and quality.
  10. Collaborate with other GIS professionals.
