GIS Technician

You will be responsible for mapping, data development, analysis, and maintenance of our GIS databases.To be successful in this position, you should have experience working with GIS software, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication and organizational skills. A Bachelor's degree in geography or a related field is preferred, but not required. Responsibilities:

1. Utilize GIS software to analyze and visualize spatial data.
2. Develop, maintain, and update GIS databases.
3. Create high-quality maps and geographic information to support project objectives.
4. Work closely with team members, clients, and stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and quality of spatial data.
5. Ensure GIS data is consistently accurate and up-to-date.
6. Monitor GIS system performance and troubleshoot any issues.
7. Perform quality assurance and quality control on GIS data.
8. Participate in training sessions to stay current with GIS software and technology.
9. Assist in the development of GIS procedures, policies, and best practices.
10. Collaborate with other departments to ensure GIS data is used effectively.
