
Geotechnical Laboratory Technician
Tetra Tech is looking for an experienced and organized Geotechnical Laboratory Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a commitment to excellence in their work and demonstrate a strong attention to detail. If you have a deep knowledge of geotechnical laboratory testing and a passion for delivering quality work, we would love to hear from you.To be successful in this role, you must have a degree in civil engineering or a related field, as well as at least two years of experience in geotechnical laboratory testing. You should also be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the principles of geotechnical engineering and laboratory test methodologies. Responsibilities:
- Perform geotechnical laboratory tests, including sieve analysis, Atterberg Limits, grain size distribution, permeability, triaxial shear, and consolidation.
- Ensure accuracy and precision of laboratory results.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Prepare reports and documentation of laboratory work.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and order supplies as necessary.
- Assist with geotechnical engineering projects and research.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient completion of projects.
- Participate in professional development activities and team meetings.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff.
