- Conduct GIS analysis to support environmental planning, historic preservation, and natural resource management projects.
- Collaborate with team members to develop innovative solutions for clients.
- Utilize knowledge of cultural resources to inform project decisions and recommendations.
- Stay up-to-date on current cultural resource laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Support project managers in developing and implementing project plans.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Use GIS software to create maps and visualize data related to cultural resources.
- Manage and organize large datasets and ensure data accuracy.
- Conduct field work and gather data for cultural resource assessments.
- Prepare and present reports, presentations, and other deliverables to clients.
- Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as archaeology and anthropology, to integrate cultural resource data into project plans.
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on GIS analysis progress.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of company-wide GIS standards and procedures.
- Mentor and train junior staff members on GIS analysis best practices.
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures while conducting field work.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Geography, Gis, Archaeology, Anthropology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Experience Working With Gis In A Cultural Resources Or Archaeological Context.
Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Laws And Regulations Related To Cultural Resources Management And Historic Preservation.
Proficiency In Using Esri Arcgis Software And Other Relevant Gis Technologies.
Strong Analytical, Problem-Solving, And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And Collaboratively With Multidisciplinary Teams.
