Job Description

Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Bat Biologist to join our team. We are looking for an individual who possesses a passion for wildlife conservation and an enthusiasm for the natural sciences. The successful candidate will have a solid background in bat ecology as well as a strong ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.The ideal candidate for this position will have a Bachelor's degree in Biology or a related field and at least two years of professional experience in bat ecology. The candidate must also have excellent communication and organizational skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and the willingness to travel as needed. Experience in grant writing, data analysis, GIS, and field research is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and field surveys on bat populations
  • Identify and monitor bat species and habitats
  • Utilize GIS and other data analysis tools to analyze data
  • Write grant proposals to secure funding for research projects
  • Develop and implement strategies for bat conservation
  • Develop outreach and educational programs related to bat conservation
  • Work with government agencies and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with conservation regulations
  • Prepare and present reports on research findings
  • Participate in conferences, seminars, and workshops related to bat ecology
