
Assistant Archaeology Consultant
Tetra Tech is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Archaeology Consultant to join our team of professionals. The ideal candidate will be an organized and detail-oriented individual, with a passion for archaeology, who is capable of working independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and gain valuable experience in the fields of cultural resource management and archaeology.The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field, and a minimum of two years of experience in archaeological field work and/or cultural resource management. Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills, are also essential. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel are required. Previous experience in consulting or a related field is strongly preferred. The successful candidate will also demonstrate a commitment to teamwork, a willingness to learn, and an ability to think critically and creatively. Responsibilities: •Develop and execute archaeological fieldwork activities •Conduct archaeological surveys, excavations, and/or laboratory analyses •Conduct research to expand knowledge of archaeological sites and artifacts •Prepare detailed reports and presentations on archaeological findings •Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations •Manage archaeological projects from conception to completion •Work together with the team to coordinate activities and share knowledge •Maintain accurate records of archaeological fieldwork •Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders •Travel to remote sites as needed •Remain current on the latest advances in the field of archaeology
