Job Description

Tetra Tech is currently seeking an experienced Archaeological Field Technician to join our team! As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for conducting archaeological fieldwork and data collection. You must possess strong field skills, knowledge of archaeological techniques, and an ability to work in a team environment. You will be expected to conduct archaeological survey, data recovery, testing, and apply appropriate archaeological standards. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in archaeology or a related field, as well as at least two years of field experience. Knowledge of GIS and archaeological report writing is preferred, but not required. Furthermore, an ability to work in harsh environmental conditions and long hours is essential. Above all, we are looking for an individual who is passionate about archaeology and that will be a great asset to our team.

Responsibilities: -Conduct archaeological fieldwork and data collection -Apply appropriate archaeological standards -Conduct archaeological survey, data recovery, and testing -Follow safety guidelines at all times -Perform fieldwork in varying environmental conditions -Work in a team environment -Write archaeological reports -Operate GIS software -Perform long hours of fieldwork as required
