
Archaeological Field Technician
Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced and passionate Archaeological Field Technician to join our dynamic and motivated team. This individual will be responsible for helping to ensure the protection of cultural resources at archaeological sites in the region. The successful candidate will possess strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a larger team. We are seeking an individual who is knowledgeable in archaeological field techniques, regulations, and standards, and who is committed to providing excellent service to our clients. If you are an experienced Archaeological Field Technician who is looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity, then this position is for you.Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a related field• 3+ years of experience in archaeological fieldwork• Familiarity with archaeological standards and regulations• Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel regularly• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Proficiency in the use of computers and software related to archaeology• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• A commitment to integrity and quality work
Responsibilities: • Comply with all archaeological standards and regulations • Lead project teams in the field • Record and analyze archaeological data • Prepare field reports and other documentation • Manage and coordinate field surveys • Maintain accurate records of field research • Monitor site safety and security • Assist in the development of research designs and methods • Assist in the interpretation of archaeological evidence • Participate in public outreach activities • Working independently and as part of a team
Ability To Work In A Team Environment
Valid Driver's License
Experience In Archaeological Fieldwork
Familiarity With Archaeological Survey And Recording Techniques
Knowledge Of Archaeological Field Protocols
