
Archaeological Field Technician
Tetra Tech is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Archaeological Field Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play an important role in helping to plan and execute archaeological survey and testing programs in compliance with applicable federal and state regulations. Our ideal candidate has a degree in Anthropology or a closely related field with archaeological field experience and a passion for protecting and preserving our archaeological resources. Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and execution of archaeological survey and testing programs in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Perform archaeological field work, including survey, excavation, and artifact analysis.
- Collect, record, and store archaeological data, including field notes, photographs, and other documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations on all projects.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state and federal regulations related to archaeological resources.
- Prepare reports, maps, and other documents related to archaeological projects.
- Collaborate with other archaeologists and field technicians to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Provide support to project managers and other archaeologists as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of all archaeological activities and artifacts.
- Participate in public outreach and education activities related to archaeology.
