Job Description

Are you an experienced Archaeological Field Technician looking for an exciting opportunity to work with Tetra Tech? We are looking for an individual with a passion for archaeology, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills to join our team. Our ideal candidate should have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in anthropology, archeology, or a related field, two years of experience in archaeological survey and excavation, and a valid driver’s license. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects ranging from reconnaissance and survey, to excavation and data recovery. Your work will be integral to Tetra Tech’s mission of providing innovative solutions to our clients’ archaeological challenges. Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in archaeological surveys and excavations on a variety of projects.
  2. Collect and record data in the field.
  3. Maintain a valid driver's license.
  4. Communicate effectively with clients and other team members.
  5. Adhere to safety protocols while working in the field.
  6. Follow instructions from project supervisors.
  7. Prepare reports and other documentation related to archaeological findings.
  8. Manage and organize archaeological artifacts.
  9. Maintain accurate records of field activities.
  10. Contribute to the development and implementation of research strategies.
