
Archaeological Field Technician
Tetra Tech is looking for an experienced and driven Archaeological Field Technician to join our team of environmental and engineering professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data from archaeological sites and surveys, as well as helping to plan and design archaeological projects.The ideal candidate should have a degree in archaeology, anthropology, or a related field, as well as at least two years of experience in archaeological field work. Additionally, the successful applicant should have strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, and must be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.If you are an experienced archaeologist looking for an exciting and challenging opportunity to join a leading firm, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze data from archaeological sites and surveys
- Assist in the planning and designing of archaeological projects
- Evaluate and interpret data to determine historical, cultural, and/or environmental significance
- Prepare detailed reports of findings and research results
- Utilize research and field surveys to develop site-specific recommendations
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, such as governmental agencies, Native American tribes, and other organizations
- Maintain safety protocols at all archaeological sites
- Provide guidance to field survey teams regarding archaeological protocols and safety considerations
- Participate in field work as needed
- Manage the progress and quality of archaeological projects
