
Archaeological Field Technician
At Tetra Tech, we are looking for an experienced Archaeological Field Technician to join our team. We are a leading provider of professional services to the global energy and infrastructure markets. Our Archaeological Field Technician will be responsible for conducting, managing, and supervising archaeological fieldwork in support of a variety of research and development projects.The ideal candidate will have a degree in archaeology, cultural resources management, anthropology, or a related field, as well as at least two years of experience in archaeological fieldwork. They should have strong written and verbal communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities:
- Conduct, manage, and supervise archaeological fieldwork in support of a variety of research and development projects.
- Prepare and review reports and technical documents related to the fieldwork.
- Document and analyze artifacts and data collected during the fieldwork.
- Create GIS maps of archaeological sites.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and clients.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of fieldwork.
- Remain up-to-date on the latest archaeological techniques and technologies.
- Assist with the planning and scheduling of fieldwork.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize accuracy and efficiency in fieldwork.
