- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of all customs laws and regulations relevant to Teledyne Technologies' operations.
- Monitor changes in customs regulations and proactively implement necessary updates to ensure compliance.
- Create and maintain a global customs compliance program, including policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Oversee all import and export activities to ensure compliance with customs regulations.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all customs-related inquiries and audits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate any potential customs compliance risks.
- Monitor and maintain records of all customs-related transactions and activities.
- Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and implement them to continuously improve the customs compliance program.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customs authorities and other relevant agencies.
- Lead and mentor a team of customs compliance professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Regularly report on customs compliance metrics and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Conduct regular trainings on customs compliance for all relevant employees.
- Ensure all customs declarations and documentation are accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
- Promote a culture of compliance and ethics within the organization.
- Continuously review and improve customs compliance processes and procedures to drive operational efficiency.
Extensive Knowledge Of Global Customs Regulations And Compliance Requirements: A Senior Manager, Customs Compliance At Teledyne Technologies Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Customs Laws And Regulations In Various Countries Where The Company Operates. This Includes Knowledge Of Tariff Classifications, Valuation Methods, Trade Agreements, And Other Customs-Related Matters.
Proven Experience In Managing Customs Compliance Programs: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Track Record Of Successfully Implementing And Managing Customs Compliance Programs In A Large Multinational Organization. They Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Import/Export Processes, Documentation Requirements, And Record-Keeping Practices.
Strong Leadership And Team Management Skills: As A Senior Manager, This Role Requires Excellent Leadership And Team Management Skills. The Candidate Should Have Experience In Leading And Motivating A Team Of Customs Compliance Professionals, As Well As Developing And Implementing Training Programs For Employees On Customs Compliance Matters.
