EHS Technician

Perform and document job site inspections, concentrating on identifying and remediating hazards; ensuring compliance with policies. 40-50% of time, operate the wastewater pre-treatment plant equipment and operations to ensure critical compliance as identified in the procedure. This process requires documentation, adjustment of chemicals, mechanical and electrical operations. Conduct pre-task analysis, take storm-water samples from discharge and send to lab. Conduct Air Pollution Control Dust Collection drum changes according to SCAQMD enclosure requirement and Air Pollution Control inspection. Conduct hazardous waste tank and secondary containment inspections. Use forklift to transport drums/containers/bins and prepare manifests for shipments. Conduct Fire Extinguisher and Eyewash/shower Inspections. Assist Report all incidents and findings to the EH&S Manager and assist with report preparation and documentation. Maintain PPE equipment and inventory and order supplies.
