As a CNC Machinist 4, you will play a crucial role in our production process by operating and maintaining our advanced CNC machines to produce high-quality parts and components.   1. Operate and maintain advanced CNC machines to produce high-quality parts and components.
  2. Set up CNC machines according to specifications and blueprints.
  3. Monitor machine operations to ensure accuracy and quality of parts.
  4. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot any issues with the machines.
  5. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  6. Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth production flow.
  7. Interpret and follow technical drawings and specifications.
  8. Continuously strive to improve production processes and efficiency.
  9. Maintain accurate records of production and machine maintenance.
  10. Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and incorporate new techniques into production processes.
  11. Train and mentor junior machinists as needed.
  12. Communicate any production or machine issues to supervisors in a timely manner.

Job Qualifications

  • Advanced Knowledge Of Cnc Programming And Operation: A Cnc Machinist 4 Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Cnc Programming Languages And Be Able To Read And Interpret Complex Blueprints And Technical Drawings.

  • Strong Technical Skills And Experience With Precision Machining: This Position Requires A High Level Of Technical Proficiency In Operating Precision Machining Equipment, Such As Lathes, Mills, And Grinders. A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role Is Typically Required.

  • Familiarity With A Variety Of Materials: A Cnc Machinist 4 At Teledyne Technologies Should Have Experience Working With A Range Of Materials, Including Metals, Plastics, And Composites, And Be Able To Select The Appropriate Tools And Cutting Speeds For Each Material.

  • Attention To Detail And Quality Control: With A Focus On Producing High-Quality, Precision Parts, A Cnc Machinist 4 Must Have Excellent Attention To Detail And Be Able To Perform Thorough Quality Control Checks Throughout The Manufacturing Process.

  • Ability To Work Independently And On A Night Shift Schedule: This Position May Require Working Independently During Night Shifts, So The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Work Ethic And Be Able To Effectively Manage Their Time And Workload In A Fast-Paced Manufacturing Environment.
