Job Description

The ideal candidate will be focused on how technology can enable the team to generate insights and will be actively involved in understanding how the data is used and processed, why data quality is so important, and how data visualization can enhance insight generation. The Quantitative Analyst will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing all aspects of the team’s investment infrastructure. Understanding the team’s existing data and technology infrastructure. Overseeing data storage, retrieval, and analysis – for example, validating data quality, analyzing new data sets, calculating investment factors. Developing reports – research, portfolio management and market surveillance. Partnering with the QM Equity investment team to ensure the data and infrastructure properly supports the investment activities, which requires being part of the investment process.

Job Qualifications

  • Strong technology architecture and programming skills required, including proficiency in R

  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience, ideally on a quantitative equity buy-side or sell-side team

  • Desire to look at and question data, and passion for problem solving and trouble shooting
