- Develop and implement data governance strategies to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of data within the organization.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data management needs and requirements.
- Identify and assess potential risks associated with data governance and develop mitigation plans.
- Establish data governance policies, procedures, and standards for the organization.
- Monitor and audit data governance processes to ensure compliance with policies and standards.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify data quality issues and develop solutions.
- Lead data governance projects and initiatives, ensuring timely completion and delivery.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and trends in data governance and make recommendations for improvement.
- Train and educate employees on data governance policies and procedures.
- Communicate and present data governance initiatives and progress to senior management.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement data governance tools and technologies.
- Proactively identify and address data governance gaps and issues.
- Develop and maintain data governance documentation and data dictionaries.
- Act as a subject matter expert on data governance for the organization.
- Mentor and coach junior data governance analysts within the team.
Extensive Knowledge Of Data Governance Principles And Best Practices, With At Least 5 Years Of Experience In A Data Governance Role.
Strong Analytical Skills And Ability To Interpret Complex Data Sets To Identify Potential Data Quality Issues.
Experience In Developing And Implementing Data Governance Policies, Procedures, And Standards.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Influence Stakeholders At All Levels.
Proficient In Data Management Tools And Technologies, Such As Data Quality Tools, Data Profiling Tools, And Metadata Management Tools.
