Transportation Manager

This is an Operations position responsible for managing the activities associated with Delivery. Manages the daily work and safety of Delivery supervisors, routing personnel and other associates. Ensures that management staff is effectively managing day to day delivery activities. Ensures Delivery Associate compliance with local, state and federal regulatory agencies (i.e. DOT, OSHA, etc.) and ensures that electronic logs are kept current and accurate. Manages labor hours, travel, fuel and consumable supplies within budget, maximizing time and cost efficiencies. Monitors the utilization of delivery services by reviewing the coordination of backhaul functions and other routing/scheduling activities in an effort to increase the profitability of all delivery services.
