We are looking for an experienced Senior Buyer to join our team at Sysco. You’ll be responsible for leading the purchasing team and managing the strategic sourcing and procurement of products and services. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a proven track record of negotiation and cost-savings.Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field; at least five years of purchasing experience in a corporate environment; and a successful background in contract negotiations and supplier management. In addition, you must be a highly motivated self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the purchasing team and manage strategic sourcing and procurement of products and services.
- Develop and execute purchasing strategies to maximize cost savings.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and manage relationships with existing vendors.
- Monitor the market for new products and services and identify potential suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Track and analyze purchasing performance metrics.
- Prepare and review purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Manage inventory levels and recommend improvements to the supply chain.
- Monitor and report on market trends and pricing fluctuations.
- Address customer complaints and concerns regarding purchases.
