- Conduct thorough and detailed inspections of all incoming and outgoing food products to ensure they meet quality standards set by Sysco and regulatory agencies.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to guarantee consistency and accuracy in product inspections.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and purchasing, to address any quality concerns and make necessary improvements.
- Keep up-to-date with industry standards and regulations related to food safety and quality control.
- Document and report any quality issues or concerns to management, and work towards finding effective solutions.
- Conduct regular audits of suppliers and their facilities to ensure compliance with Sysco's quality standards.
- Perform microbiological and chemical analysis on food products to identify potential hazards or contaminants.
- Train and educate employees on quality control procedures and best practices to maintain high levels of quality.
- Monitor and track product quality data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new quality control policies and procedures.

Knowledge Of Food Safety Regulations And Standards: A Quality Assurance Inspector At Sysco Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Food Safety Regulations And Standards Set By Agencies Such As The Fda And Usda.
