- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on all material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose any equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed on equipment.
- Monitor and order necessary parts and supplies for equipment maintenance.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating and repairing equipment.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and efficient use of equipment.
- Keep work area clean and organized at all times to uphold a safe and productive work environment.
- Provide training and support to new employees on proper equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members to report any issues or concerns regarding equipment performance.
Experience With Material Handling Equipment: This Qualification Requires A Candidate To Have Knowledge And Experience In Operating Various Material Handling Equipment Such As Forklifts, Pallet Jacks, And Hand Trucks.
Mechanical Aptitude: A Material Equipment Technician Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Mechanical Systems And Be Able To Troubleshoot And Repair Equipment When Needed.
Safety Training And Certifications: As A Technician Working With Material Equipment, It Is Essential To Have Proper Safety Training And Certifications To Ensure A Safe Work Environment For Yourself And Others.
Knowledge Of Inventory Management Systems: A Material Equipment Technician Should Have Experience Working With Inventory Management Systems To Track And Maintain Equipment And Supplies.
Communication And Teamwork Skills: This Role Requires A Candidate To Work Closely With Other Team Members And Communicate Effectively To Ensure Efficient Operations And Timely Repairs Of Equipment.
