Job Description

Inventory Control Manager at SyscoWe’re looking for an experienced Inventory Control Manager to join Sysco, the global leader in selling, marketing, and distributing food and related products. The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented problem solver with a passion for building and managing efficient inventory control systems.To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of five years’ experience in inventory control and management, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment. You must also have a solid understanding of supply chain management and working knowledge of inventory control software. A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.You must also possess excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines. You should be able to think strategically, but also be comfortable getting your hands dirty when needed. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders are also essential.We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is driven to succeed and open to learning new technologies and processes. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain an effective inventory control system for the company
  2. Monitor and analyze inventory levels to ensure accuracy and optimize purchasing
  3. Track inventory and supply chain performance metrics and report any discrepancies
  4. Create and maintain inventory records and reports
  5. Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure inventory is accurate and up to date
  6. Monitor and audit inventory levels and processes to ensure compliance with company standards
  7. Manage inventory levels and make purchasing recommendations to ensure efficient operations
  8. Utilize inventory control software to track inventory levels and maintain accurate records
  9. Plan and coordinate inventory control activities, optimize inventory levels, and reduce costs
  10. Develop and implement procedures for proper inventory storage and organization
  11. Train and supervise staff to ensure compliance with inventory control policies and procedures
  12. Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in inventory control
