Job Description

The Inventory Control Manager position at Sysco is an exciting and challenging role that offers the opportunity to use your expertise in inventory management to ensure our inventory accuracy and efficiency. We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with experience in inventory control, operational analysis, and problem solving. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to interact with all levels of staff and management. A successful Inventory Control Manager must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be comfortable leading projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Implement and execute inventory control processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency of inventory operations.
  2. Analyze current operational practices to identify areas of improvement and develop strategies to optimize inventory control systems.
  3. Monitor inventory levels across multiple locations and adjust orders as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
  4. Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and audit procedures.
  5. Develop and implement policies and procedures for inventory control operations.
  6. Train and mentor staff on inventory control protocols to ensure compliance.
  7. Work with other departments to ensure accurate data entry and updates of inventory records.
  8. Track and report inventory performance metrics and analyze trends.
  9. Monitor and investigate discrepancies in inventory records and take corrective action as necessary.
  10. Manage vendor relationships and negotiate purchase contracts.
