Job Description

Sysco is looking for an enthusiastic Inventory Control Clerk to join our team and help us keep our inventory system organized and up-to-date. In this role, you will play an essential part in our organization by ensuring that our inventory is accurately tracked and maintained. The ideal candidate for this position will be detail-oriented and possess a strong knowledge of inventory control systems. To be successful in this role, you should have an understanding of inventory management principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work with accuracy and speed. Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor inventory levels and ensure that all products are accounted for in the inventory system.
  2. Create and maintain detailed records of inventory transactions such as purchases, sales, returns, and adjustments.
  3. Monitor stock levels and alert management when inventory is running low and needs to be replenished.
  4. Stay up-to-date on the latest inventory control technologies and procedures.
  5. Work closely with other departments to ensure that inventory needs are met.
  6. Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and errors.
  7. Implement and maintain inventory control systems and processes.
  8. Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas of improvement.
  9. Develop and execute effective plans to reduce excess inventory.
  10. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on inventory levels, sales, and other relevant data.
