- Receive Incoming Products: The Inbound Receiver is responsible for physically receiving all products delivered to the facility, ensuring they match the purchase order and are in good condition.
- Document Products: The Inbound Receiver will accurately document all incoming products, including product name, quantity, and any discrepancies, in the inventory management system.
- Organize and Store Products: Upon receiving, the Inbound Receiver will be responsible for organizing and storing products in designated areas, ensuring they are easily accessible and properly labeled.
- Communicate with Suppliers: The Inbound Receiver will communicate with suppliers to address any discrepancies or issues with the delivered products, and ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with Team: The Inbound Receiver will work closely with the purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure accurate and efficient receiving and storage of products.
- Maintain Inventory Accuracy: The Inbound Receiver will regularly conduct inventory counts and assist with inventory management to ensure accurate stock levels and prevent stock shortages.
- Adhere to Safety Guidelines: The Inbound Receiver will adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while receiving, organizing, and storing products to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain Cleanliness: The Inbound Receiver will maintain a clean and organized receiving area, ensuring all equipment and tools are properly stored and maintained.
- Train and Mentor: The Inbound Receiver may be responsible for training and mentoring new team members on receiving processes and procedures.
- Continuously Improve Processes: The Inbound Receiver will actively seek ways to improve receiving processes and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Experience In Warehouse Operations: A Strong Understanding Of Warehouse Procedures And Inventory Management Is Essential For An Inbound Receiver At Sysco. This Includes Knowledge Of Receiving, Sorting, And Storing Products, As Well As Familiarity With Safety Protocols And Equipment Operation.
Attention To Detail: As An Inbound Receiver, You Will Be Responsible For Accurately Checking And Recording Inbound Shipments And Ensuring That They Match The Accompanying Paperwork. This Requires A Keen Eye For Detail And The Ability To Catch Any Discrepancies Or Errors.
Communication Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Vendors, Drivers, And Coworkers Is Crucial In This Role. In Addition To Written And Verbal Communication Skills, You Should Also Be Able To Actively Listen And Problem-Solve In A Fast-Paced Environment.
Physical Stamina: Inbound Receivers At Sysco Often Work On Their Feet For Extended Periods Of Time, As Well As Lifting And Moving Heavy Boxes And Pallets. Physical Stamina And The Ability To Handle Physical Tasks With Ease Are Important Qualifications For This Role.
