Inbound Receiver

- Receive and inspect incoming shipments of goods to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Verify accuracy of received items against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Record and report any discrepancies or damages to appropriate parties.
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and organization of received items.
- Communicate with suppliers and internal team members to resolve any issues with received items.
- Operate forklifts and other equipment to move and store received items.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update systems accordingly.
- Assist with inventory counts and audits as needed.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and timely processing of incoming shipments.
- Train and mentor new team members on receiving procedures and protocols.
- Continuously seek ways to improve and streamline receiving processes.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative work culture within the warehouse team.
Strong Organization And Time Management Skills: As An Inbound Receiver, It Is Essential To Have The Ability To Efficiently Manage Incoming Shipments, Accurately Log Them, And Ensure They Are Stored In The Correct Location.
Familiarity With Inventory Management Systems: Knowledge And Experience Using Inventory Management Systems, Such As Sysco's Warehouse Management System, Is Important For Tracking And Monitoring Inbound Shipments.
Attention To Detail: Inbound Receivers Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Ensure Accuracy In Receiving And Logging Shipments, As Well As Identifying Any Discrepancies Or Damages.
Physical Stamina And Ability To Lift Heavy Objects: This Role May Require The Handling And Lifting Of Heavy Objects, So Physical Strength And Stamina Are Important Qualifications.
Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: As An Inbound Receiver, You Will Work Closely With Other Team Members To Coordinate Incoming Shipments And Communicate Any Issues Or Delays. Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.
